
Alyssa Sitkowski Summer Associate
Alyssa is currently a Summer Associate at the Business Law Group and a J.D. Candidate at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, where she is entering her third year. She has previously held roles with the firm as both a Legal Administrative Assistant and a Law Clerk, demonstrating a strong commitment to the team and a clear progression in her legal career.
In her current role as a Summer Associate, Alyssa contributes to a range of complex business law matters. She conducts advanced legal research and analysis, drafts memoranda, pleadings, and motions, and assists with case strategy and document preparation for both state and federal litigation. Alyssa is known for her precision, professionalism, and collaborative approach to client service and case development.
Alyssa is a published student author, having authored a Case Note in the Review of Intellectual Property Law, titled The Bastard of the Arts and Copyright Law, the Intersection of Dance and Copyright Law in Hanagami v. Epic Games, Inc. Her Note analyzes the application of copyright protections for choreographic works in the Ninth Circuit, juxtaposed with the approach taken in the Second Circuit. Alyssa now serves as the Managing Editor of the Review of Intellectual Property Law. She has earned Dean’s List recognition every semester of law school and maintains a strong academic record alongside her professional accomplishments.
Alyssa graduated summa cum laude from the University of Missouri in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies, with emphases in European Studies and Italian Language, and a minor in Art History. During a semester abroad in Florence, Italy, she refined her fluency in Italian and studied art, culture, and international affairs.
